Set your Booking Policy with MagnaPass

Set how far ahead your clients need to book your services through your MagnaPass account.

Make sure you have enough time ahead to prepare for each session and avoid any last-minute surprise bookings.

 

Overview

By default, your clients can book your services right up until the start time. This applies to appointments, classes, events and courses. However, we've now added a new feature for you to control how far ahead your clients need to make their booking.

 

Configuring your booking policy

Step 1: Go to the 'Booking policy' tab

Get started by logging into your MagnaPass account dashboard, then select the 'Booking policy' tab in your 'My account' section. 

 

Step 2: Set the time restriction

This allows you to set what the cut-off point is for how far in advance a client can book a session. You can set this point in minutes, hours or days before the session start time. To do this, you fill out the two fields:

Field 1: Enter a value into the first field (numbers only)

Field 2: Select the interval type (minutes, hours or days).

 

Step 3: Don't forget to save the changes

Once you've set all of the above as desired, remember to click the green 'Save' button before leaving the page.

 

Example

For example: If you wish clients to book their space at least 6 hours before the session starts, you'd enter "6" into the first field, then set the second field to "hours" using the drop down option.

In the above example, if the client browses your public profile, website widget or mobile app profile, the session will display a 'Bookings closed' badge. The 'Bookings closed' badge replaces the usual book button, meaning clients are unable to book once the start time is within your booking policy cut-off time (e.g. if the client tries to book 1 hour before, but your policy is set to at least 6 hours).
