Overview of the different services

There are five different types of services that you are able to book (depending on whether a teacher/company offers them); appointments, classes, events, packages and courses.

Appointments are booked individually for a specific date and time slot.

Classes are recurring weekly sessions that you can book as a drop-in.

Events are one-off sessions and workshops that can also be booked as a drop-in.

Packages are class passes that can be purchased to add passes to your account. Once purchased, you can book into the classes you wish to attend by spending the passes. 

Note: All packages have a duration, after which the passes will expire and become invalid. Packages can start from the date of purchase or from a specific start date, depending on how the teacher/company has set up the package. Each package has specific classes that can be booked with the passes, these are listed before you book.

Courses are a block of sessions over a set period of time. If you book a course, you are automatically booked into all of the course sessions.

Note: You might be able to book onto a course after it has started. If so, you may have the option to pay for the remainder of the course at a pro-rata price. Both depend on whether the teacher/company allows it. If you want to only book one of the course sessions as a drop-in, you can do this in the classes tab if the teacher/company have enabled that option.

MagnaPass profiles:

These are booking pages that are hosted by MagnaPass. You can tell it's a MagnaPass profile because the URL link will begin with "www.magnapass.co.uk/" and it'll have the MagnaPass logo in the top-left of the page. The booking process is slightly different here than through the website integration (see below).

Website integration 'widget':

The website integration or 'widget' is the MagnaPass booking system embedded into another website. This makes the booking process a bit smoother without having to redirect to the MagnaPass profile so you can book quicker in less clicks.

Booking services

Select the service you'd like to book and follow the steps below.

Book an appointment:

  1. Select the 'Appointments' tab.
  2. Click 'Book' button on the appointment you want to book.
  3. Select a date, time slot and location.
  4. Enter full name and email address.
  5. Apply a voucher code (if you don't have one, leave it blank and continue).
  6. Enter card details and confirm the booking.

Note: When selecting a location, you may have multiple options offered by the teacher/company in the drop down menu. If a teacher/company offers you the chance to request your own location such as your home or office, enter the address manually including a post code.

Book a class:

  1. Select the 'Classes' tab.
  2. Click 'Book' button on the class you want to book.
  3. Log in or Sign up then continue. If using the website integration/widget, enter full name and email address then continue.
  4. Apply a voucher code (if you don't have one, leave it blank and continue).
  5. Enter card details and confirm the booking.

Note: You can sign up using Facebook or by email.

Book an event:

  1. Select the 'Events' tab.
  2. Click 'Book' button on the event you want to book.
  3. Log in or Sign up then continue. If using the website integration/widget, enter full name and email address then continue.
  4. Apply a voucher code (if you don't have one, leave it blank and continue).
  5. Enter card details and confirm the booking.

Purchase a package:

  1. Select the 'Packages' tab.
  2. Click 'Book' button on the package you want to book.
  3. Log in or Sign up to continue to payment. If using the website integration/widget, enter full name and email address then continue.
  4. Enter card details and confirm the booking.

Note: You can sign up using Facebook or by email. Voucher codes are currently not available when booking a package.

Book a course:

  1. Select the 'Courses' tab.
  2. Click 'Book' button on the course you want to book.
  3. Log in or Sign up to continue to payment. If using the website integration/widget, enter full name and email address then continue.
  4. Enter card details and confirm the booking.

Note: You can sign up using Facebook or by email. Voucher codes are currently not available when booking a course. If you want to only book one of the course sessions as a drop-in, you can do this in the classes tab if the teacher/company have enabled that option.

Managing your account

Creating your account:

Your account is created when you book a service through MagnaPass. Whether it's through a MagnaPass profile (which is hosted by MagnaPass) or a website integration/widget (which is hosted by the teacher/company). 

Note: If you have created an account by booking through the website integration/widget, you don't need to set a password. If you wish to create or reset a password, please read the 'Resetting your password' section.

Resetting your password:

If you don't have a password or have forgotten it, select the 'Reset password' tab in the login form. Enter your email address, click 'Reset password' and you will receive a temporary password

Accessing your account:

  1. Go to www.magnapass.co.uk
  2. Click 'Log in' button in the top-right of the page.
  3. Enter your email address and password.
  4. Once you're logged in, click the button in the top-right of the page again (which should now have changed to your email address).
  5. Click 'My Account' so your account overlay pops up.

Viewing your passes:

  1. Log into your account as described in the  'Accessing your account' section.
  2. If you have valid passes, the number of passes will display next to the text 'Passes remaining'.
  3. Click the 'show details' link next to the number of valid passes view a full list.
  4. Discount passes that were not given as part of a package will display on the 'Discount Passes' tab.
  5. Select the 'Package Passes' tab to view all passes that were given as part of a package.

Note: Discount passes can be used on any service offered by the teacher/company. The details will display the discount percentage, price limit and expiry date (e.g. 50% off up to £10 to be used before end 01/01/2021). Package passes are only valid on the specified services listed in the package details before you purchase. The details will display the teacher/company, the services they apply to and the start/expiry date.

Viewing your bookings:

  1. Log into your account as described in the  'Accessing your account' section.
  2. Select the 'Bookings' tab.
  3. Browse 'Upcoming Bookings' and 'Previous Bookings' by selecting their respective tabs.

Note: The details listed for upcoming bookings include name of the service, teacher/company name, date and time of the booking and a 'Cancel' button (see the 'Cancelling a booking' and 'Refunds' section for full details before cancelling any of your bookings). The details listed for previous bookings include all the same information excluding the option to cancel.

Cancelling a booking:

  1. Log into your account as described in the  'Accessing your account' section.
  2. Follow the steps in the 'Viewing your bookings' section.
  3. Select the 'Upcoming Bookings' tab.
  4. Click the 'Cancel' button next to the booking you wish to cancel.
  5. Click the 'Confirm Cancellation' button to complete the process.

Note: You can only cancel upcoming bookings. Cancelling simply means that your booking is no longer valid (unless otherwise stated by the teacher/company).

Refunds:

Cancellations do not issue refunds automatically. The teacher/company terms and conditions will dictate this process separately and refunds are at their sole discretion. 

Refund policies are determined by the teacher and/or company who is providing the service. By making a booking or purchase, you agree to their terms and conditions which includes cancellations and refunds.

Email notifications

Booking confirmation emails are automatically sent to you and the teacher/company respectively whenever you make a booking for any service. 

The email will contain information about the booking including the service, the time and date of the booking (if applicable), what's included in the booking (e.g. passes or sessions if it's a package or course), payment method and amount, plus the contact details of the teacher/company in case you need to reach them.

Cancellation confirmation emails are automatically sent when you or the teacher/company cancel a booking. 

These emails contains information about the cancelled booking including the service, the time and date of the booking, plus the contact information of the teacher/company in case you need to reach them.

Note: If you are not seeing the email notifications, please check your Junk or Spam folders as they can arrive there sometimes. By moving any emails from Junk or Spam to your main Inbox and marking them as 'not spam', they should go straight to your main inbox folder in future.
